If any hospitality suites wish to host a contest, it may be added to the Core Con schedule. Simple inform us what the contest is, when you plan to hold it and what prizes you're offering for it and we'll add it to the schedule!
Core Cosplay Contest: This year we're going to be hosting a cosplay-specific contest! All contestants must pre-register for this contest here on the website by March 1st, 2010. To pre-register, click the link below! If we don't have enough interest in a separate cosplay contest, it will be merged with the Core Costume Contest.
Core Hospitality Suite Contest: Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite hospitality suite throughout the convention, and the winning suite will receive a room for Core Con 2011 free of charge! The second place prize is a free full-page ad in the 2011 Core Con Program Guide.
The Fairy Room won first place in the Hospitality Suite Contest, and Whurld's End took second place!

Core Costume Contest: Costume enthusiasts will be able to compete in a variety of genres and styles in the Core Costume Contest.
The Fairy won the Beginner level of the Costume Contest, the Warhammer 40K Space Marine won the Experienced level, and the Hero and Villain of Core Con tied to win the Exhibit level. The Hero and Villain costumes were made by Applause Costumes of Moorhead.

Core Walkabout Costume Contest: We will be running an itinerant costume contest as well, essentially this costume contest won't have a stage. Attendees may vote for their favorite costumes using forms they'll find in their registration packet and turn them in at Core Con Ops. There won't be categories, simply a first, second, and third place. Anyone and everyone can wear a costume!

The Ultimate Warrior: Warriors of all shapes and sizes will be able to compete for the title of Core Con's Ultimate Warrior! Whether you're decked out in spandex or armor, jumpsuit or post-apocalyptic leathers, you can join fellow warriors in this hilarious competition of wits and will!
Cassy is our Ultimate Warrior for 2009! She will be immortalized with her name engraved in our Ultimate Warrior sword.
