2012 CoreCon Apocalypse Film Contest Details For the first time ever we will be hosting an Short Film Contest at CoreCon 2012. Both amateur and experienced film creators and animators alike are welcome to participate with no entry cost. What type of apocalypse do you want to bring to CoreCon? Natural Disaster, Self Destruction, Extraterrestrial Attack, Plague, Supernatural Event, or perhaps you had something else in mind? Prizes 1st Place - $150+ valued prizeFilm Contest Rules 1. Max Length of 30 minutes. If you wish to make something longer, you can divide it into parts (30 minute maximum for each part). However, only the first part will be shown in the contest for time constraint reasons.Entry does not guarantee placement in the contest. However, each submission will be carefully considered. Simply inform us what the contest is, when you plan to hold it and what prizes you're offering for it and we'll add it to the schedule!
Hospitality Suite Contest: Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite hospitality suite throughout the convention, and the winning suite will receive a room for CoreCon 2013 free of charge! The second place prize is a free full-page ad in the 2013 CoreCon Program Guide. Attendees may vote for their favorite costumes using forms they'll find in their registration packet and turn them in at Registration. There won't be categories, simply a first, second, and third place. Anyone and everyone can wear a costume! Reki (Angel) and Russia tied in the Walkabout Costume Contest for 2011! The Ultimate Warrior: Warriors of all shapes and sizes will be able to compete for the title of Core Con's Ultimate Warrior!
